这是皇冠城被封的路段,现已开放于使用,但是还有几个石墩还没被移走。

Bandar Mahkota Cheras road to remain open

KUALA LUMPUR: The Cabinet has decided the Bandar Mahkota Cheras access road will remain open for now.

Works Minister Datuk Mohd Zin Mohamed said that the road will remain open until the court decision on a lawsuit filed by developer Narajaya Sdn Bhd against Cheras-Kajang Highway concessionaire Grand Saga and the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) in 2007.

The matter was discussed at the Cabinet meeting on Friday morning.

Mohd Zin said the Government has taken into consideration the inconvenience caused to Bandar Mahkota Cheras residents because of the barricade placed on the access road there.

To avoid controversy and any untoward incidents the Cabinet had decided that the access road remain open.

Mohd Zin added that the residents of Bandar Mahkota Cheras could now use the access road and there would no longer be congestion there.

He urged residents to calm down and hoped that they wouldn’t take the law into their own hands.

AirAsia Bhd posted a net profit of RM161.27mil for the first quarter ended March 31, up 85.6% from RM86.87mil a year earlier, boosted by an improvement in its operations, foreign exchange gains and deferred taxation.

Announcing the strong results yesterday, AirAsia said revenue rose 31% to RM535.15mil from RM406.22mil before. Gross profit from operations rose 39.2% to RM129.31mil from RM92.88mil while pre-tax profit jumped 155% to RM110.17mil from RM43.07mil.

At net profit level, the low-cost carrier also benefited from RM51.54mil in deferred taxation. Earnings per share rose to 6.6 sen from 3.7 sen. It also recorded a foreign exchange gain of RM86.16mil against RM26.32mil a year earlier.

Reviewing the results, the airline said the positive growth was underpinned by higher passenger volume and bigger contribution from ancillary income. Passenger volume rose 21% to 2.61 million from 2.16 million previously.

Despite clouded by slowdown of US economic and high Crude Oil price, AirAsia still can posted a higher profit compared with last year, this really impressed me and and I believe that the hedging strategic that AirAsia had applied before started to bear fruits. The aviation industry is facing a very tough time now and quite a numbers of Low Cost Carrier peers had close shop due to the high Crude Oil. Nevertheless, a good governance and management still the prime key to drive the business further despite the slow down of economic.

CEPAT(8982) posted Q1 2008 Quarterly Report

CEPAT posted a revenue and eps gain of 72% and 371% respectively in its latest Q1 2008 quarterly report, thanks to the soaring of CPO price and higher demand from China and India. CEPAT is the cheapest among oil palm companies in Malaysia in term of share price and capital, but not many ppl know about its,I guess lack of publicity and marketing is the prime cause. At time of writing this post, CPO price still stood at around 3k plus, if the CPO price continue to stand at above 3k, the revenue and eps foreseen will continue to hike. Let's see how its perform.

Note:
EPS = Earning per share
CPO = Crude Palm Oil

Balinese Roasted Suckling Pig

Roasted Suckling Pig aka Babi Guling is one of the famous dish in Bali. Since Indonesia is muslin country, pork isn't popular there except in Bali. The way of making babi guling is different from what you have here. Finding a Babi guling stand is a bit harder in Bali, coz it's not located in tourist areas, but you can get a taxi driver to bring you there. There are quite a numbers of babi guling stands pop up when you away from tourist areas. I didn't try it when I was in Bali but my friends had. Below some photos I took at the Babi Guling stand. If you really want to try some local dishes in Bali, you must not miss out Babi Guling.

This is how the babi guling looks like.

Unknown Vege, serve with babi guling.

How to calculate warrant price

let's take YTLPower as example.

e.g.
3 Lots of YTLPower share
= (300x2.61) ( RM2.61, price at 05 May 08)
= 783

1 lot of warrant
= (100 x 0.10)
= 10 ( this is the amount that you need to pay to buy the warrant)

Warrant Exercise price at RM1.25
= (100 x (0.10 + 1.25)
= 135 ( after the warrant expired date, this is the amount that you need to pay to convert to ordinary share)

As long as YTLPower price above RM1.35 then you have make a good deal coz you only spent 1.35 to buy the share which is worth more than that.

YTLPower Warrant Offer for Sale

YTLPower is giving generous offer to its shareholders. The warrant offer at price RM0.10 and exercise price is RM1.25. Every 3 lots of YTLPower ordinary shares is entitled to buy 1 lot of warrant.
